Happy New Year!

Spent New Year's Day in the sewing room! Have to ponder my finish to the GIMQ. Many posted on Facebook are very, very busy, and I need to figure out how best to finish mine. So I went with something seasonal, a pattern that a friend did last year that has been in my "to do" pile.

Started with quilting the piece...

Streaming the Philadelphia Mummer's Parade on my iPad, kept me in festive spirit all day.

Add a few snowflakes....

A nifty scarf.....

On goes the binding!

Cooked us up a pork roast with sauerkraut for some New Year's luck!

Added some homemade pierogi...

After dinner my husband made a great big bon fire and we sat under the stars roasting marshmallows with some of our teenagers. It was beautiful and peaceful.

The first finish of 2015, bound while watching those exciting bowl games! As Christmas comes down, the snowmen go up!

After a day spent in stitching thought, my words for 2015 are:
  1. Movement
  2. Simplify
  3. Create
They will be my themes for the year, no matter what I am involved in.
Happy Happy!
