Valentine's On My Mind

Since I unearthed another charm pack of Valentine's in the sewing room hoardation, I decided to stich up another table topper while watching some House. The pattern is quick and easy.

Tried a different heart motif for free motion quilting this time. I still wouldn't call this a skill, but I do think my stitches are getting a little more consistent.

Just need some binding. It's cheerful and will brighten up my February table.

Next I began working on the "Jet" series. Jet is my daughter's Chiweenie. Since I am a dog Grandma...and since his little profile is so cute, I think he makes a perfect quilting motif!

For Valentine's Day he will be carrying a group of heart shaped balloons, asking "Be Mine?"

I cut the balloon heart shapes from left over scraps, so they are not consistently shaped.

Used a chain stitch to create the strings, so they were visible.

Switched to "Call the Midwife" season 2 Christmas episode....and there was a hand crank fashioning the costumes for the Christmas play!

Well this will be a finish for tomorrow after work I think, though I do need to work on this weeks GIMQ clue too! So much to sew!!
