Began working on my Quiltville Grand Illusion Mystery Part 3. I am literally stealing moments to sew here and there this week, work and other off hours commitments are keeping me busy!
I did have a chance to fire up Netflix with my new binge watching show, An Idiot Abroad, a Science channel show produced by Ricky Gervais in which he sends his mate, Karl, on all sorts of adventures. The first season is the world wonders. The twist is Ricky and the other producer sort of jab at Karl by booking him into dubious lodging and plan activities that he may not ordinarily seek out. It cracks me up and is a view of the world with a bit of British humor.
So armed with my instructions, I began cutting.....
And sewing my strips....
Remember my "neutral" is the multi swirl. My black is purple and my green is greenish!
A few sets together, the measurements are good...success!!
I did take a moment to give my little chicken an eye, cut from a bluish fabric with perfect little spots. I am smitten with this chicken and can't wait to add to the flock!
Happy sewing!
♥ smitten with your chicken
ReplyDeleteClue three looking good!
ReplyDeleteI love your colours! Not so fond of Ricky Gervais, I'm afraid. Karl Pilkington seems like a nice guy, but Ricky, not so much!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to see your quilt progress, stunning colours!
ReplyDeletewild about your neutral! going to be a fun quilt.
